land on The Irvine Ranch®, much of it near Mountain Park. Land gift presents unique opportunity to reexamine
Mountain Park's community master plan.
2004 The Irvine Company submits new vision to the city.
Plan dramatically increases the amount of open space in the
community and envisions major new connections to nearby preserved
wildlands and parks. While significantly reducing the number of
homes planned, new vision continues to support city's key goal of
providing new for-sale housing close to preserved open space,
recreation and jobs.
2005 Public is invited to review and comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report
(DEIR). The DEIR was released on April 4, 2005 and comments were submitted to the City of
Anaheim. The Anaheim Planning Commission unanimously approved the Mountain Park project on July
27, 2005. On August 24th, the Anaheim City Council uanimously approved the plans to build
approximately 2,500 homes. The council's 5-0 vote represents a major step forward in the Company's
meticulous efforts to bring much-needed for-sale housing to this part of Orange County.
